We got everyone we expected to show through security and on the plane. Thanks to our travel agency, we had a guide fly us through customs and help with our train tickets. The train rides were ok, but crowded and we had to kick some folks out of our reserved spots. After two train rides, we made it to Freiburg. Thankfully, our hotel was right next to the train station.
We got our rooms (again no problems thanks to our travel agency) and then had lunch at a nearby Doner Kebab, some traditional German fast food. We then headed out to hike up the local mountain to the observation tower. It rained a bit, but we still had fun. We stopped at a biergarten on the way down, then wandered around in the old city some more before heading back to the hotel. We are all fighting jet lag, trying to stay up just a little longer. Tomorrow we start at noon, so we can sleep in (if we can).
